CNN —A member of the crew working on the upcoming Marvel series “Wonder Man” died Tuesday following an accident on set, according to a statement from Marvel Studios. “Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and friends, and our support is behind the investigation into the circumstances of this accident,” the studio said in a statement to CNN. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Four people are dead following what police in Los Angeles characterized as a murder-suicide on Saturday. Officers responded shortly before 7 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 11600 block of Lerdo Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement posted on social media. Four victims were pronounced dead at the scene and investigators determined the shooting was a murder-suicide, police said. LOS ANGELES (AP) — Police have arrested a Los Angeles man in connection with the discovery of the torso of a dismembered female body and the disappearance of his wife and her live-in parents. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Saturday the arrest of 35-year-old Samuel Haskell. The arrest was supported by evidence from a search of Haskell's home in the Tarzana area where he lived with his wife, in-laws and three children, police said. Over the weekend, a Nordstrom in a Los Angeles mall was a repeat target for a "flash mob" robbery. Up to $100,000 of merchandise was stolen, days after a similar robbery in the Los Angeles area. In 2021, the Nordstrom store was also the target of a flash mob robbery. The term "flash mob" has been associated with flash mob dances, but has since taken on new meaning when associated with organized burglaries conducted by large groups. The Los Angeles Police Department said the losses from the Saturday burglary at Nordstrom were estimated to be from $60,000 to $100,000 in merchandise.

The special prosecutor, Lawrence Middleton, had secured convictions in a 1993 federal trial against Los Angeles Police Department officers for beating Rodney King. CNN —A Los Angeles jury has found actor Danny Masterson guilty on two of the three counts of rape in a retrial on Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney. Kutcher and Masterson also starred in Netflix’s “The Ranch” beginning in 2016, but Netflix and the producers wrote Masterson off the show amid the rape allegations. At the time, Masterson said he was “obviously very disappointed” by the decision, in a statement to CNN.
